REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:

TYPING TESTS:
Typing tests are administered at the Employment Office Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. You may take the typing test once a week until a passing score is attained.
EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY VERIFICATION (I-9) FORM:
Florida Atlantic University hires only U.S. citizens and lawfully authorized alien workers. Prior to beginning work, new employees will be required to complete the Department of Justice Form I-9 which requires documentation that show identity and authorization to work at the University.
SELECTIVE SERVICE REGISTRATION:
Effective October 1, 1988, Chapter 88-185, Laws of Florida, requires Selective Service registration of State employees in order to be eligible for employment or promotional opportunities in authorized positions. Every male citizen of the United States and other male persons in the United States, except any alien lawfully admitted to the United States as a non-immigrant, between the ages of 18 and 26, must be registered with the Selective Service System under the Military Selection Service Act, 50 U.S.C. Apr. 453, and must be able to show proof of such registration.
VETERAN STATUS:
Preference will be given to eligible veterans and spouses of veterans as required by Florida Statutes. Applicants claiming preference have the right to file a complaint with the Department of Veterans' Affairs within 21 days after the notice of a hiring decision.
DIRECT DEPOSIT:
It is the policy of Florida Atlantic University that all employees establish
direct deposit with a financial institution for the purpose of payment of
salaries, and other payments that may apply. Upon hire, authorization will be
obtained from each employee per the guidelines established in Florida Statute
668.50. All authorizations remain in effect until withdrawn. Account information
is confidential and not subject to current Sunshine Laws.
